My name is Michelle Antoinette and I am double majoring in Industrial Arts (Visual Communication) and Asian American Studies. I moved to San Francisco from a small town called California City about six years ago. Some of my interests include painting, having art days with friends, EATING (good food of course), photography, volunteering, road trips, exploring new places, and going out to enjoy nice sunny days (and clear nights). I'm a night owl and I have way too many art supplies in my room. 

There are many things, people, and moments in history that inspire/wow me. I love art and learning about pieces and the artists themselves inspire me. It's so interesting to learn about what's the story behind a painting, sculpture, or installation. I love when a piece of art inspires me to paint my own interpretation/message of that piece. Many people that I look up to have been a part of my life. Anita Bogan, a woman who befriended my family and whom I called grandma, lived until she was 106 years old. She was an inspiration to anyone who had the privilege to meet her. Even a century would not make her stop what she loved; she played golf every sunday until she was 102. Her stories about the people she had met, the obstacles, she had over come, and what she gave back to the community has only influenced me to try and go above-and-beyond in my own life. 

As far as how I project my future, I hope that I settle in a job that I enjoy going to. I have seen what an unhappy career does to a family and I would love to avoid that.
